Hey there! My name is Jen, and I'm a thirty-something curvy gal who wishes she'd started traveling sooner.

That's me! And my partner in crime, love, and life, my husband Ty.

And this is me when I'm a little windblown. Ty always photographs well, of course. :)

Craving a change . . . and a change of scenery.

For many years, I let my body image issues hold me back from living life the way I'd envisioned. I'd always been a timid introvert, but after I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) over a decade ago, the weight gain (among other symptoms) left me feeling more self-conscious than ever.

It wasn't until I turned 32 that I booked my first major trip to London with my husband and brother, which we took at the end of May 2015. In 2016, Ty and I went to the romantic Riviera Maya in Mexico. Our upcoming adventure in early 2017 is a trip to Ireland and Scotland!

But it all started with getting out of my comfort zone and making that first jump into overseas travel. This blog is the result of planning that trip and detailing my personal experiences of being a plus-size traveler and day-tripper, and all the great things that have come from that.

I hope you'll join me!
